Over the course of a lifetime many individuals do not get the chance to reach 100 years old. There are many environmental influences as well as human behaviors that contribute to one’s expected life span. Citizens in today’s society are working towards extending their natural life. One’s personal health, well-being and overall life course are a few factors that play a major role in the aging process. This document is a biography of 100 year old Porcha Petteway’s life course. Personal data, accomplishments, professional agencies, jobs and careers held will be discussed. People she helped, her legacy, life during her senior years and daily regiments that assisted in reaching 100 will also be conversed. Finally, her end of life journey, activeness during her senior years along with contributing environmental influences and behaviors that extended her life span will also be revealed. Porcha Petteway was an African American female and devoted Christian with many accomplishments in her lifetime. An autobiography has been written detailing what life was like for her with an emphasis in her senior years. It is the year 2084 and Porcha Petteway has passed away at the age of 100. Up until the day she passed Porcha was married to her husband for 73 years. They had two children together both girls. The life event of marriage allowed her to obtain many financial resources than those of the single population. Being married allowed Porcha to participate in private pension plans due to their lifetime income being combined and much higher than usual. She was able to live a life full of greater satisfaction as an advantage of being married. As Porcha entered old age her family structure remained rich, certain, close and tight knit. Health and lifestyle are two major factors that play a role in determining what life would be like during the senior years of life. There are many advantages to having a strong social support network that consists of caregivers paid and unpaid. Seniors with this tend to live longer, remain independent and stay active in their later years. Citizens in today’s society are living longer due to technology, medications and an overall healthier lifestyle. Many reach the age of 100 but the maximum human life span is 120 years old. One’s personal data, career choices, environmental influences and amount of active interactions will determine how those of the older population will experience the aging process.

Sequence means the definite pattern to a child developing example toddler being able to walk before they can run. Some aspects of developments follow a definite sequence like physical development of babies learn to lift their heads before they can sit . A new baby development may begin with rolling over then sit up, crawl , walk , run. Another may do it differently, even though elements are missed the development still proceeds in an expected pattern. Sequence involves patterns and an order of development linked to body, mobility , and intellectual growth. It can also be defined as how things happened in an expected order example breastfed, weaned, full meals, lie, sit , crawl etc. Sequence of development is the order that a child develops but this can vary in each child. One child may start with rolling over then sit up, then crawl and then start wal king but another child may just sit up, then crawl and then start walking. Rate of development rate means the speed in which a child develops, rate involves a time frame linked to age. One baby may achieve walking unaided at ten months another may accomplish it at twelve months. Rate is what happens at one year old , twenty four months , and seven years etc. Recording the rate of developments can help you to identify any concerns that one may have with any child. The rate of development is the pace that a child develops at, this can be the pace within each sequence or the pace overall and goes to cover all the set areas or periods in between or altogether in sequences. Why is the difference between the sequence of development and rate of development important?. Sequence of development and rate of development are important as it helps in the development from mental to physical and emotional. If one of them is missed or slow it can be a cause for concern and may lead to a child being given special attention . They are both used to measure the development of children, although all children will develop at different rates and at different sequence , it helps to check if something is going wrong. It also helps to provide a picture that can measure where a child might be in need of support. Comparing the Production of the Crucible to the Film My task was to compare the production of the crucible to the film. The things I had to compare were lighting, camera angles (only applies to the film), dramatic parts, characters and atmosphere effects. Lighting ======== In the play, at the start, the lighting was used to create a spooky atmosphere, which I thought was very good as the crucible is a spooky play. Lanterns hanging from the ceilings with a dim light made this effect. The audience would feel shivers as they could only see the actors faces. The rest of the body of each actor and actress was covered by the darkness, by the rest of the stage. The second scene was†¦show more content†¦In the film at the start, the setting was pitch black, with the source of light coming from the huge, vicious fire. Just like the production, the film had a gloomy and horror atmosphere to it. To the viewer, this would seem a dramatic opening scene which catches the interest and eye of the people watching. There is no light effect when Proctor is being taken to the place of execution. To the viewer, this would seem like a symbol of how Proctor felt. He wouldnt have seen any hope in surviving. The rain gave the audience a sense of danger and again the atmosphere was creepy. Camera In the production, you cant obviously have cameras. But a scene which I thought was good to talk about was when Abigail and her friends were at the back of the stage. This would have given the audience the idea that the girls were frightened and it showed their vulnerability. When they ran to the back of the stage, it was like a camera zooming out. At the start of the film when Abigail had blood on her lips, the camera made her look like she was in control. This was done as the camera was looking up at her and she is in control of the group. The viewers would see that she is the leader. When the girls are dancing the camera zooms in and out while this action is taking place. There were cut-shots between the girls and paris.
